Richard Montgomery High School

La Scuola Superiore Richard Montgomery, è un'istituzione esistente da più di 110 anni, la più vecchia della Contea del Montgomery, Maryland, una periferia di Washington DC. L'Istituto é un sistema composto da ben 120 scuole pubbliche che educano più di 140.000 studenti, sotto la direzione del Dr. Jerry Weast. La musica, è parte integrante della vita della scuola già da molti anni. Il Ricliard Montgomery Fligh School Choir, si compone di studenti che provengono da tre diversi ensembles: i Madrigals, il Concert Choir e il Treble Chorale, che si uniscono in un unico coro in occasione di eventi particolari nella città di Washington DC, come l'inaugurazione biennale del Sindaco, il Concerto in onore del Governatore del Maryland, avvenuto lo scorso 2003 e l'inaugurazione della Presidenza di George Bush nel 2001. Le prove corali iniziano generalmente a Novembre, dopo le lezioni scolastiche. Il repertorio musicale, selezionato per la tournée in Italia, è principalmente a carattere religioso e include Musica Sacra, Secolare e quella Contemporanea del compositore inglese John Rutter.

Moreno Carrasco, principal, has been in institution for over 110 years,. the oldest high school in Montgomery County, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, DC. The school is part of the Montgomery County Public School system consisting of over 120 schools educating more than 140,000 students under the leadership of Dr. Jerry Weast, Superintendent of schools. Music has been an integral part of the curriculum for many, many years, both vocally and instrumentally. Three music teach­ers are presently on the staff. The Italy Choir from Richard Montgomery High School, formed especially for this historic tour, is comprised of students from the three existent ensembles - Madrigals, Concert Choir & Treble Chorale. The various ensembles perform frequently in the Washington, DC metropolitan area including regular performances for the School, senior citizens groups, the bi-annual mayoral inauguration, the Governor of Maryland's. Inaugural Concert in 2003 and the Bush Presidential Inauguration in 2001. Rehearsals began in November after school, in the evenings and on weekends. While the repertoire selected for this trip is primarily religious, the ensembles perform both sacred and secular music reflecting many cultures and from all historical eras in the Western tradition from Palestrina to the contemporary English composer John Rutter.

Ronald P. Frezzo

Insegnante vocale e musicale della Richard Montgomery High School, Rockville, Maryland, ha insegnato nelle scuole pubbliche della Contea del Montgomery per 20 anni, nella Archbishop Carroll High School, Washington DC, per 11 anni e ha operato anche come Assistente Direttore all'Università Cattolica Americana. Ha ottenuto una Laurea in Educazione Musicale ed un Master in Conduzione Corale all'Università Cattolica Americana. Assunse poi la carica di Direttore di Musica Sacra presso la Chiesa Cattolica "Little Flower" in Bethesda, Maryland che inantenne per 27 anni. Attualmente è insegnante di Musica per il "Programma Internazionale di Baccalaureato", per studenti provenienti da Stati Uniti. Canada ed Europa. Gli fu consegnato il premio "Agnes Meyer Outstanding Educator", per l'Anno Accademico 1999/2000

Vocal and International Baccalaureate Music instructor at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, Maryland has taught in the Montgomery County Public School for 20 years, preceptor by 11 years at Archbishop Carrol High School  Washington DC, and was formerly lire Assistant Director of Alumni at the Catholic University of America. Mr. Frezzo holds the Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music in Choral Conducting from The Catholic University of America and has been Director of Sacred Music for 27 years al Little Flower Catholic Church in Bethesda, Maryland. He is a teacher-trainer in music for the International Baccalaureate program and has given over 25 workshops over the past 10 years in the US, Canada. and Europe. He was the Montgomery County recipient of the Agnes Meyer Outstanding Educator Award adjudged by the Washington Post for the academic year 1999/2000. He is in demand as a music consultant, clinician and guest conductor in many areas of tbc US.

Camille Anselmo Frezzo

Pianista organista. ha ottenuto una laurea in lingua Francese e alti riconosci­menti in Musica all'Università del Maryland. Dall'età di 8 anni, suona l'organo nelle parrocchie. Attualmente dirige il Contemporary Choir alla Chiesa di S. Bernadette in Silver Spring, Maryland. E' stata Direttrice del Dipartimento di Salute e Servizi Umani del Governo Federale degli Stati Uniti, Rockville, Maryland. Ha insegnato musica nella scuola Elementare S. Bernadette per 14 anni, dove ha diretto il Cherub e Youth Cboirs, dando anche lezioni private di pianoforte. Suona con disinvoltura sia il piano che l'organo.

Accompanist, holds a Bachelor's Degree in French Language with minors in Music and Italian from the University of Maryland. She has been a church organist since the age of 8 and presently directs the Contemporary Choir at St. Bernadette's Church in Silver Spring, Maryland. Formerly an editor for the Department of Health and Human Services of the US Federal Government in Rockville, Maryland: she has taught elementary school music at St. Bernadette's for the past 14 years and initiated and directed a Church Choir and Youth Choir and teaches private piano. At case both with the piano and organ, besides her liturgical work she has accompanied many singers in the Washington, DC area. She "along with Ron Frezzo" is the proud parent of three daughters, Cristina, Gina & Joanna.
