I Musicisti
offrire educazione corale e formazione a cantanti dilettanti e
semi-professionisti.
Bachchoir esegue circa 5 concerti all'anno, soprattutto nella propria regione.
der Meer, Robert Holl, Elly Ameling e Elisabeth Schwarzkopf.
Gardiner, Gustav Leonhardt, Helmuth Rilling, Sir Colin Davis e Frans Brüggen.
successo "A Choice Collection of Dances", dedicato alla danza barocca francese.
musicisti dell’orchestra barocca umbra Accademia Hermans. Info sui corsi:

Drechtsteden Bachchoir
The Drechtsteden Bachchoir performed her first concert in 2012 during the famous
Bach festival , which takes place every two years in the eldest city of the
Netherlands: Dordrecht. The purpose of the choir is to offer vocal education and
challenges to amateur- and semi-professional singers.
The repertoire consists of music of J.S. Bach: cantatas, motets and Passions.
Also the choir sings music of contemporary composers of Bach like Schütz,
Buxtehude and Schein.
And of course there is the music of the famous Dutch composer Jan Pietersz
Sweelinck.
The DBK performs about 5 concerts a year, mostly in her own region. Despite the
fact that the choir is rather young it expresses a rare quality that is seldom
found in an amateur group and this gives it a very good reputation in the
Netherlands. In 2015 it sang for the King and Queen of Holland on Kings day in
the monumental Grand Church in Dordrecht.
The concerts in Perugia, Trevi and Assisi are the first concerts abroad and the
28 singers are happily looking forward to perform in Italy while accompanied by
the Baroque orchestra Accademia Amsterdam, with which the choir worked with
several times, especially in different cantatas of J. S. Bach.
Nico van der Meel
Nico van der Meel has been active as a choral conductor from the age of 16 on.
He initially studied choral conducting at the Rotterdam Conservatory, but from
1982 he studied singing with professor Margreet Honig. He concluded his studies
cum laude in 1987, after which he took part in master classes with Evelyn Lear,
Ruud van der Meer, Robert Holl, Elly Ameling and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf. In the
past few years he has been invited as a teacher to several summer courses. He
also serves as a guest teacher at famous conservatories in the Netherlands on a
regular basis.
As a singer Nico van der Meel performed with many famous conductors such as
Nikolaus Harnoncourt, John Eliot Gardiner, Gustav Leonhardt, Helmuth Rilling,
Sir Colin Davis and Frans Brüggen. He can be heard on large number of CD's with
early music, including Bach's major works. In the Netherlands Nico van der Meel
performed at all major European stages for chamber music. In song recitals he
worked in close connection with eloquent pianists. In this field CD's were
published with early songs by Hugo Wolf and with songs by Dutch composers.
Nico van der Meel is a leading member of the ensemble Camerata Trajectina, which
is recognized as a major advocate for Dutch music of the 16th and 17th century.
He contributed to more than 30 CD's of this ensemble. He also made
reconstruction of incomplete 16th century music.
Nico van der Meel is the artistic leader of the Drechtsteden Bachkoor now for
five years. Since 1982 he conducts the William Byrd Vocal Ensemble. Furthermore,
he coaches ensembles and leads projects with various choirs like the
Westerkerkkoor, Coqu and the Amsterdam Barok Consort in collaboration with –
among others – Accademia Amsterdam
Accademia Amsterdam
Accademia Amsterdam takes its name from an institution of Italian
origin, flourishing in the 17th and 18th centuries, when people met in
‘accademias’ to play music and discuss a range of subjects. Accademia Amsterdam
has taken up this very tradition: together the musicians work out a clear
interpretation, aiming to bring out the eloquence of the music and move the
listener, playing in a ‘speaking’ style.
Accademia Amsterdam was founded in 1990 by oboist Onno Verschoor. The acclaimed
ensemble consists of musicians trained in authentic performance practice. Its
members play period instruments or modern copies. They perform extensively,
often playing in the best European baroque orchestras under direction of famous
directors. The ensemble can be heard regularly in festivals in the Netherlands
and abroad, accompanying cantatas, operas and oratorios.
In 2002 Accademia Amsterdam recorded a successful CD of French baroque dance,
titled ‘A Choice Collection of Dances’. This CD was favourably reviewed in the
professional journals.
In summer 2006 Accademia Amsterdam performed at the Festival Solomeo near
Perugia, with Mozart’s symphony no. 40 as part of the programme.
